nat June 15, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Dav Holloway, the father of missing Natalee Holloway has recently met the Aruban authorities and sought answers regarding the disappearance of his daughter five years back.

The distressed father wanted to know about the developments in the case of his daughter. He sought an explanation from the authorities asking why the case was closed against the alleged murderer Joran Van der Sloot and why he was not convicted in connection with Natalee’s disappearance. Her body has not been found yet.

In 2005, Natalee Holloway, an 18-year-old Alabama girl, went missing on a trip to Aruba. She was last seen coming out of a nightclub, with van der Sloot.

Earlier this month, the Dutch man Sloot has confessed that he had murdered a Peruvian woman Stephany Flores, after vanishing from Aruba. During the interrogation, Sloot admitted that he knew the whereabouts of the body of Holloway. This brought a hope to Holloway family and the victim’s father approached the authorities with a hope to get justice.

Sloot admitted murdering Flores, when she tried to snoop on his computer. Holloway’s father said that Flores would have remained alive if the Aruban authorities would have taken strong against Sloot at that time.

Van der Sloot is facing serious jail term as he admitted to murdering Flores. Now, only if the US authorities can prosecute Sloot for Holloway’s murder, then justice will be done. In the video confession, Sloot has stated murdering Holloway, so it has been proved conclusively.

We hope that the Aruban authorities will support the distressed father!
