Alexander Youshock, a San Mateo native had a dangerous motive to kill.
When the former student of Hillsdale High School was discovered wearing a tactical vest carrying 10 pipebombs, and loaded with chainsaw and a 2-feet long sword, he was not on any ordinary mission. Some students told sources they had been smelling something fishy right from when there was a power cut on the campus on Monday’s first period. Jesse Trotta, a 14 year student told sources, “I was sitting in the Algebra class when the fire alarm suddenly went off. I thought it was just a fire drill.”
The 17 year was controlled in the nick of time. He had entered the school premises from the northwest passage nearing the library where he actually detonated 2 pipe bombs, said police Cheif Manheimer.
The smoke from the detonated bombs set the school alarms abuzz. Then two staff members confronted the notorious 17 year old in the hallway, where he was speedily given a chase. He was held hostage until police arrived at the scene and arrested him.
Some students reportedly heard sounds like a bullet being fired but sources reveal there were no guns fired, and it was only the sound of detonated bombs that students had heard.
1270 students were evacuated onto the soccer field and were carefully guided to the nearby Abbott Middle School where they were collected by their parents. Guardians had been signaled by phone messages by 45 minutes after the alarming incident disrupted study hours.
The school announced the day off owing to disturbance. There is no news on when the school will re-open or resume classes. There will be psychologists to aid students in order to overcome the ominous episode. The good thing was that a tragedy was efficiently avoided.
