Mar 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Faith and Jabari Sanders are 11 and 9 years old, but when their mom yelled for their help from the bathroom of their home, they not only rushed to see what she needed, but helped her to deliver their 9 pound 4 ounce baby brother.

Alana Sanders, who is 36 years old, had already given birth to three children, Faith, Jabari, and their two year old sister Janelle. Her husband Geoffrey, who is 35 said that it was normal for her to have quick deliveries, but they were shocked at how fast this baby came. Geoffrey went on to say that his wife began to have pains soon after he had left to go to work. She went to the bathroom, and thought she was going to have a bowel movement…but soon realized that she was in labor. She then told Jabari to call 911, and he did so. The call can be heard here :-

You can hear that the children were very calm and helpful as their mother gave birth. The 911 dispatcher had the kids check the condition of the baby, and the mother, and told them how to clean the baby up. She asked the mom to lay down. When she found out that the umbilical cord had snapped, and could potentially be very dangerous for the baby, the dispatcher then instructed Faith in how to sew it up, which she did with knitting yarn.

Although Alana was sleeping and did not comment to reporters on Wednesday, her husband, Geoffrey was very happy to share the story. He was one very proud Papa, and for many reasons. “As a husband, you always want to be superman in your family,” he said. “I wasn’t able to do that. But my kids were the superheroes this time around, and that’s fine with me.”
