Hawthorne, NY officers arrest man for driving drunk with children
January 19th, 2010 - 2:52 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )HAWTHORNE, NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) – Hawthorne, New York officers last Saturday arrested a man for drunk driving with children in the car.
Maureen Montero, 42, was arrested with aggregated Driving While Intoxicated charges under Leandra’s Law, a felony to drive intoxicated with children under the age of 16 in the vehicle. Montero’s vehicle was stopped for speeding and changing lanes unsafely. Troopers observed two juvenile children in the vehicle, ages 14 and 10.
Further investigation revealed Montero to be intoxicated with a .08 BAC. Montero was processed and posted $500.00 bail.
Montero is due in the Mount Pleasant Court later this month.
