Hannah Overton, a mother accused of murder of her adopted child

Christian Mother of 5 kids, Hannah Overton was convicted of capital murder her adopted son, Andrew Burd , she was sentenced to life in prison in September 2007.
In 2008 Hannah was a 29 year-old pregnant mother, living with her husband, 4 children and 4 year old Andrew Burd, adopted son by foster system.
The incident taken place when Andrew Burd was brought to the hospital without a clue of what was wrong with him. Blood tests proved that he had salt poisoning. His level of hypernatremia was almost double of the highest ever recorded.
Everyone turned to Hannah, she told them Andrew had thrown a fit that afternoon after he’d been fed a full lunch. Instead of giving him more food, she said she put a few dashes of creole seasoning in a sippy cup of water. The kid fell down on the floor, vomited and felt cold. The couple took Andrew to hospital, and he died shortly thereafter.
