Gunman Colton Tooley Fires Four Shots, Then Commits Suicide

Sep 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The students of University of Texas were terrorized yesterday after a second year student from Crockett High School from Mathematics department opened fire at the university. The police identified the student as Colton Tooley and he was wearing a dark suit and a mask and was armed with AK-47 assault rifle. The police is still investigating the reason for the rampage. The parents of the gunman were not available for any comments.
The University of Texas authorities reported that nobody was injured on this rampage. Colton Tooley was found on the sixth floor of the Perry-Castaneda Library and later he was found dead there as he committed suicide after self-inflicting gunshots. He began firing near a fountain in front of the UT Tower and within hours the wild rampage the university issued an all clear notice but it remained closed. A relative of Colton Tooley, Marcus said that the whole incident was unexpected and Colton Tooley was not a violent person. Colton Tooley’s school teacher Craig Shapiro said that the whole school was shocked to hear the whole incident as nobody could expect that Colton Tooley would do something so dangerous. The teachers of his school even said that he was a brilliant, meticulous and a respectful student.
Initially the police thought that Colton Tooley was with a fellow shooter but investigation they found that the gunman acted alone. President Bill Powers of the University of Texas later said that the campus is safe from the dangers. Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said that in his statement that he hopes that the University will be opened by today. It was unclear how many shots were fired by the gunman but the eyewitnesses say that he fired four shots.
