Gunman Clay Duke Kills Himself After Shooting At Florida School Board

Panama City, Dec 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was a shocking site to see in Bay District Schools, Florida on Tuesday afternoon when a 56 year old gunman Clay Duke killed himself after opening fire in a school board meeting. The law enforcement officials reported this incident to the media. Police officials said that when the school authorities asked the citizens to bring up issue, Clay Duke walked up to the podium, suddenly sprayed painted red “V” along with a circle on a wall and then opened fire at the school board members. However, no one was injured in the incident.
The law enforcement officials said that the motive of the shooting is still unclear. Panama City Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jeff Becker said that a board member of the school confronted him after Clay Duke painted the symbol on the wall. On the other hand, the eyewitnesses say that the gunman asked six men to stay in the room released all the children and women present. The police spokesman said that former board member of the school and district security chief Mike Jones tried to stop him and as a result fight broke out between the gunman and the former. Sgt. Jeff Becker said that the gunman took his own life just after the fight.
Sgt. Jeff Becker said that they have notified the shooter’s family but police is still investigating about the meaning of that “V” symbol. Though the police did not confirm the number of bullets fired, an eyewitness said that there were at-least 10 shots fired on the scene. The law enforcement officials said that the gunman was a former school board member and he had a heated discussion with the other members before he shot himself to death.
