Guinness crowns Igor Vovkovinskiy as the ‘New tallest man in U.S.’

tall New York, May 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Guinness has named the “Tallest living man in US”. And he is none other than 27-year-old Igor Vovkovinskiy who belongs to Minnesota. Igor Vovkovinskiy is a big fan of the United States President, Barack Obama. The 27 year old was spotted numerous times at Barack Obama’s rallies. Igor Vovkovinskiy is originally from Ukraine. Vovkovinskiy stands at 7 feet 8.33 inches, at least three inches taller than the previous record holder - George Bell of Virginia.

Igor Vovkovinskiy was officially crowned the “Tallest living man in America” on “The Dr. Oz Show”. And fortunately for Igor, this ceremony was witnessed by a representative from the Guinness World Records. In a statement, the Guinness World Records stated that Igor Vovkovinskiy was subjected to strict guidelines, before he could be confirmed as the tallest man in the United States. He underwent various tests to determine his true and accurate height, and when the Guinness officials were satisfied that he had passed all their parameters, then they named him as the tallest man in US.

However Igor Vovkovinskiy is not the tallest man in the world. Sultan Kosen who is an inhabitant of Turkey, holds that record. Sultan Kosen has a height of 8 feet and 1 inch.
