7878Kansas, Apr 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) How much does it take to push a man to his limits? 4 years of sleepless nights haunted by the memories of his dead son and the funeral protests coming from the Dead Soldiers Church. Albert Snyder can still recall the day of his sons funeral. The dead soldier who got killed in the Iraq war had his funeral being held amidst a string of protests coming from “The Dead Soldiers Church” displaying several signs and banners that read “Thank God For Dead Soldiers” and “God Hates Fags”.

Reportedly, the Westboro Baptist Church have carried on their practice of hurling insults towards a dead soldiers family whenever they witness a funeral owing to their belief that all soldiers of the United States who pass away in the war is a punishment inflicted on them by the Almighty. They believe that such deaths are a penalty inflicted upon them solely because of the fact that the United States has been reluctant to protest against homosexuality unlike other nations.

The funerals are attended by the grief-stricken family members and friends of the departed who fall victim to the insults which they mostly ignore. Albert Snyder is the first one who just couldn’t take it anymore. He went ahead to file a lawsuit against the church and even dragged them to the Supreme Court. Albert Snyder’s lawsuit has held the church guilty with the charge of disrupting his privacy which he says has been the case of many others who have witnessed their funerals being picketed by the church. The case now awaits the final verdict of the court. However the church’s pastor Fred Phelps feels that the decision will go in the favor of the church.
