Grenades With Chili ‘Bhut Jolokia’ All Set To Be Used Against Terrorists

chilliGuwahati, India, Mar 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If you thought that spices could only to be used to accentuate food flavors and impress your taste buds, then its time for you to re-evaluate your preconceived notion. It reports are to be believed then ‘bhut jolokia’, which has earned the recognition of being the hottest chili all across the world would be used by defense forces in the parts of India in the form of grenades.

It has come to light that scientists at the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in Tezpur in the north-eastern state of Assam have been in the process of running trials on hand grenades and other repellents using the hottest spice on earth with the aim of dealing with terrorists. At the same time, director of the life science department at DRDO, R.B Srivastava further revealed on Thursday that the research, development and trial of the rather unique kind of hand grenade has reached its conclusion. Moreover, it has also been stated that the chili grenade has been furnished to the defense forces so that it can be used by them in future to bring any kind of unruly situation under control.

Meanwhile, while talking about how the chili grenade can be used to nab terrorists, R.B. Srivastava further stated that it was a non-poisonous weapon and when used can be instrumental in bringing out the terrorists from their hidden dens as its smell was too pungent to be tolerated. Moreover, the chili grenade could also be helpful in dispersing violent protesters as well as rioters and could also play a pivotal role in fighting insurgency.
