Grandma’s Boy- Different strokesJune 20th, 2009 - 3:37 am ICT by GD
Was the 3 year old boy staying with his grandmother in Pound Ridge found? No, he was missing and after 15 minutes from the time he was reported missing he was found dead in a pond. The boy was found by a Pound Ridge Officer who along with two rescue workers tried to save the boy but in vain - he breathed his last at the Northern Westchester Hospital.
Another interesting story is of a family, who had their late grandparents, Albert and Lillian Coulter, buried in unmarked graves. Detectives found out that Lillian was buried in Le Mars in 1913 and Albert was buried in Great Falls Mont, in 1914. Albert was murdered and Lillian died due to Tuberculosis. One of the grandchildren Connie said “They were here with us in spirit”.
For Chris, 6 year old grandson of Dorothy, exploration of grandpa’s basement was an important agenda which needed to be addressed with their visit to their grandmother’s place in DeBary. When they had entered the semi dark basement they came across a mannequin, which was lying in the basement and gave Chris and Derrick the impression of a ghost. They were horrified and ran back to the lit up area. Chris out of curiosity would whisper to his grandma’s ears and ask, is the ghost still down there?
For some children talking and spending time with grandparents is really tedious, they just hate being with old people. Now what would be the solution for such a situation where the grandparents want to be close to the children and the children just run away. Thus the older generation is trying to get hipper with their grandchildren. “The New Grandparents Name Book” suggests grandparents name which brings them close to the children. Names like Bubbles, NaPa, Pebbles or GoGo should work wonders for children.
