Grand Canyon National Park 2010 Quarters now on sale
September 22nd, 2010 - 1:30 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattSep 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Grand Canyon National Park Quarters 2010’s bags and rolls started selling today at noon ET in the United States.
The bags are being sold by the United States Mints. This is the fourth year since the American the Beautiful Quarters Program began.
The program is aimed at honoring the various parks and national sites in the United States and at least 56 different designs will be made before the program ends. The program will have a turnover rate of 5 designs per year and it is expected to end in 2021.
The bags and the rolls contain coins that bear the name or location, or state abbreviation and $10, which is the face value of the coin. A tag has been attached to the 100-coin bag, which denotes the mint origin, name of the park or site and the state abbreviation. The two-roll set contains 40 coins each and bears the inscriptions “P” and “D”. The coins are wrapped in a distinctive packaging material displaying the name of the park or site, state abbreviation, mint of origin and the state abbreviation.
The bags are for sale at the price of $35.95 for the Grand Canyon Quarter bags and $32.95 for the Grand Canyon Quarter two roll sets.
