Mar 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) North America has witnessed the much anticipated release of God of War III, the last part of the highly popular God of War Franchise. It has been released only for the PlayStation 3 users. The early reviews of the game are largely positive. The gamers who have grabbed a copy of the game are literally going gaga over the awesome graphics and impressive sound that the game engine offers. In fact Sony has redesigned the game engine from scratch to offer the players a new level of realism in the last installment of the franchise.

The textures and character details in the God of War III shows a marked improvement over the earlier version of the game that is playable on PS2. Dynamic lighting and a robust weapon system has made playing the game all the more thrilling for the hardcore gamers.

The theme of the Greek mythology lends the game its unique character and the player has to don the hat of the protagonist Kratos. It is fascinating to see Kratos taking on the deities at the gorgeous Mt. Olympus and also at the Hades. The puzzles are essential for the player to proceed through the game and find new objectives. However, they are aplenty and it does slow down the pace of the game to some extent.

Sony took three years to complete the game and from the early responses it is clear that it has lived up to the expectations of the players. God of War III is available in North America for $60 per piece as of now. With it Sony hopes to revive the sales of PS3.
