girl-scout-cookie-recall Louisville, Feb 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Kentucky Bakery that makes the Girl Scout cookies is recalling some of the boxes of the Lemon Chalet Crème variety, due to foul smell, and bad taste. There were over a dozen complaints from people that the Lemon Chalet Crème variety of the Girl Scout Cookies, had a bad taste and offensive smell, so the Kentucky Bakery is forced to recall them.

There are only 2 bakeries, which make the Girl Scout Cookies, and one of them is the Little Brownie Bakers. They said on Friday that so far, no one had become sick after partaking the bad tasting and offensive smelling cookies. The bakery also divulged that the problem happened because of the breakdown of oils in the cookies. “We undertook a thorough investigation and determined that while the cookies are safe for customers to eat, they are not up to our quality standards,” bakery spokeswoman Susanne Norwitz said. It was also learnt that the cookies that were sold in Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan are of the recalled lot, whereas the ones that one sold in Illinois are good and safe to eat.

Consumers can complain about their Lemon Chalet Crème cookies, if it has an bad taste and offensive smell, at 1-800-962-1718 or they can contact Little Brownie Bakers at littlebrowniebakers@gmail.com.
