Giant Python Caught in Florida
August 14th, 2012 - 10:22 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattFlorida, Aug 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A python was discovered in Florida which was considered as the largest Burmese python ever caught in Florida. This was proven by the scientist on a Tuesday when they did a good evaluation on the snake.
They said that the snake is one foot wide and it was pregnant with 87 eggs. By it having 87 eggs, was regarded as a record as well. The python was said to be17 foot and 7 inch or and estimation of 5meters long. This is a very rare phenomenon; they have never discovered such a snake in Florida.
It was harmless and taken to University based in Florida Museum and the snake was weighted. It was found to weigh 164.5 pounds which is an estimation of 74 and half kilograms.
It was put under the government projects of research. The python snake was first discovered in South East of Asia in the year 1979. It is said to prey on animals like, deer, bobcats, native birds, alligators and so much more. They fully came to the world’s attention in 2000 where they were established as species. They had an excellent ability to breed and hence they increased in population. Due to its population growth the states have stated a law prohibiting people to keep it as a pet because it is dangerous as well.
