Swiebodzin, Nov 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Finally the much discussed giant statue of Jesus Christ has been completed. It has not been verified but the creators of the statue argue that it is the biggest Jesus statue in the world. That title belonged to the Christ The Redeemer statue in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro.

The construction of the statue was shrouded in a lot of controversy. Mostly people opposed to the statue argued that the statue was a waste of money. It did cost the creator nearly one million euros to have the statue up and standing. Another criticism that delayed the construction of the statue was the safety concern issues. It was feared that the massive size of the structure made it unsafe to be erected in the Polish plains in Swiebodzin.

However after so much debate and controversy, the 33 meter long figure and the 3 meter crown has been completed. The creator of the statue, Reverend Sylwester Zawadzki revealed that each meter of the statue corresponds to each year that Jesus Christ spent on this earth. Jesus lived for 33 years before he was killed.

Reverend Zawadzki believes that the making of the statue was a divine call the he has answered and he thanked Jesus that he has been able to do it.
