Cairo, Dec 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A German tourist has been killed after she faced a shark attack when she was holidaying in Egypt. The shark attacked her when she was snorkeling in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

This isn’t the first time that such an incident happened at the resort. Prior to this, four people have already been injured in the same resort during the last week. The Egyptian officials had caught the sharks that had attacked other people. After they had caught the sharks they had deemed that the resort was safe enough for the tourists. However they got the shock of their lives when the German lady was fatally attacked by the shark.

Now the Egyptians authorities aren’t taking things lightly after the death of the German tourist. They don’t know the reason behind the shark attacks and so are holding discussions with the marine biologists to determine the reason behind the repeated shark attacks.

“We are getting marine biologists from abroad to assess the situation and why there was this change in biological nature. This is unnatural. It has never happened before. We have no explanation,” according to Egypt’s Tourism Minister Zuhair Garana.
