germanAlaska, Apr 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A German Shepherd had reportedly acted in a way that many human beings fail to do at the time of a sudden crisis. The dog named Buddy directed an Alaskan State Trooper to its master’s house when it caught fire due to a sudden spark that hit the gasoline. Buddy is now being hailed as a hero and has been honored by Alaskan Police for his brave act.

As per the reports, the owner of the German Shepherd Ben Heinrichs was busy fixing some parts of his truck when a spark suddenly hit the gasoline and resulted in the fire. As the clothes of the owner caught fire, he rushed outside to roll on the snow and douse the flame. However, during this period the German Shepherd ran to get some help and brought the Alaskan Trooper Terrence Shanigan to the house. Buddy met Terrence Shanigan at a crossroads and then guided him through the back roads.

According to Terrence Shanigan, Buddy was not only able to lead him and connect with him but also sometimes provided signs of wanting him to hurry up to its master’s house. Terrence Shanigan said that the experience was surreal. As a mark of honor, Buddy has been gifted with a stainless steel dog bowl that has words of appreciations engraved in it reportedly. The Chief Colonel Audie Holloway said during a ceremony that even being an untrained dog, Buddy acted valiantly, gauging the severity of the situation. Buddy’s master 23 year-old Ben Heinrichs suffered burns on his face and a second degree burn on his left hand.
