Geneva Motor show 2009

The show is hosted at the Geneva Palexpo, a convention centre located next to the Geneva Cointrin International Airport. The Salon is organized by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles, and is considered an important major international auto show for all the big auto companies.
The Geneva Motor Show 2009 was held during the period 5 to 15 March and in it, the following vehicles were introduced, Lotus Exige, Mazdaspeed3, Mercedes Benz E-Class, MiniCooper S Convertible JCW, Opel Ampera, Porsche 911 GT3, Renault Clio, Saab 9-3X, Skoda Yeti, Tata Indica EV, Tata Nano, Toyota Verso, Volvo S80, Volkswagen Polo amongst others.
Some concept cars were also introduced which included Nissan Qazana concept, Rinspeed E2, Rinspeed iChange, Rolls Royce 200EX, Infiniti Essence, Dacia Duster etc.
The preparations for the Geneva Auto Show to be held in 2010, arguably one of the most important on the automotive calendar, are well underway and quite on track too. Since all of the major automakers have already committed to being there, the entire exhibition surface at the Geneva Palexpo, where the event is held, has been totally booked out. Furthermore, there will also be several new marquees from emerging auto markets, such as China and India. India had already showcased its cheapest car called Tata Nano at the Geneva Auto Show 2009.
