Nov 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was mutiny aboard the Ryanair flight last night as over a hundred angry passengers refused to get off of a plane which had been re-routed to Belgium, for four hours.

The jet was mostly full of French travelers who were en route from Fez in Morraco and were scheduled to land in Beauvais airport, which is near Paris on Tuesday evening. The landing was delayed due to weather. Since the take off was three hours later than planned, the Beauvais airport had closed before they reached it. So the pilot flew on to the southern Belgian city of Liege.

The passengers were clearly unhappy with this chain of events, and refused to get off of the plane in Belgium. They insisted on being taken back to France, where they were destined to go. So instead of getting off of the plane in a foreign land where they had not been scheduled to go, these passengers stages a four hour sit in, refusing to leave the aircraft.

According to Reda Yahiyaoui, who was traveling along with his wife, and two kids, a three year old girl, and a 2 month old baby, “We were all tired after a long journey and angry at being dumped 200 miles away in Belgium. We just wanted to get back home so we sat on the plane asking to be flown to France. But they just parked the plane then turned off the lights and locked the toilets and left us with no food or water. The pilot also got off and even left the cockpit door open.”

And another passenger added, “We were staging a legitimate protest but what they did was unacceptable. They just walked off and left us there,” according to the Daily Mail.
