San Diego, June 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Deep-fried-Kool-Aid is proving to be a huge success at the San Diego County Fair in California. On the first weekend of the fair, the inventor said he sold between 400 and 600 pieces daily. The San Diego Tribune reported that the meal was invented by “Chicken” Charlie Boghosian.

During an interview, Charlie told the tabloid that he first introduced Kool Aid for the previous fairs but this fair has proved to be a huge success. He further revealed that he has sold more than double the quantity that he sold when the product was first introduced.

Charlie was happy with his achievement saying he deserves all the attention that his creation was getting. He boasted that, “That’s because it tastes so darn good!” Charlie has in the past come up with other cooking ‘inventions.’ The LA Weekly in an article referred to Charlie as the “inventor of the deep-fried oreo.”

In 2007, he was in the headlines for coming up with deep-fried frog legs, Coca Cola, peanut butter banana and hone sandwiches. He also came up with White Castle burgers and others a year later in 2008.

The diet has been criticized for being unhealthy but Charlie is adamant insisting that every American has the freedom to choose what they want to eat.
