French President Sarkozy condemns ‘cowardly’ attack on Moscow subway

PARIS (BNO NEWS) — French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Monday condemned the suicide bombings on two Moscow subway stations that left up to 37 people dead.

“The President of the Republic condemns in the strongest terms the two heinous attacks that occurred in Moscow this morning,” a statement from Elysee Palace, the Presidential Palace, read. Sarkozy extended his ‘heartfelt’ condolences to the families of the victims and sent deep sympathy to all Russians on behalf of all French people.

“The President of the Republic guarantees the Authorities of the Russian Federation of the full solidarity of France against this despicable and cowardly act,” the statement continued.
