Free car media - get paid to drive your car
November 11th, 2009 - 3:26 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Nov 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Free Car Media has come out with an interesting idea and it asks people to drive cars that have large advertisements emblazoned on them, and then it pays them for the same. It makes good business sense as the advertisers are willing to pay an obscene amount of money for advertising on the common man’s cars. And so many people are interested in this innovative idea that the website is not able to handle the load and is crashing.
Free Car Media says on its home page that, “drivers could get paid up to $900 per month to have an advertisement affixed to their car.” And that’s a huge amount of money for an advertisement on the car. No wonder people are applying in droves and the website is itself crashing.
Drew Livingston, president of Free Car Media, says, “They don’t actually get a free car,” Livingston says. “But the monthly payment is generally enough to cover their auto expenses like car payment, gas, etc., for the month, so that’s where the name comes from.”
However not everybody is selected for the job. Matsav says that, “The companies usually select drivers who live in desirable locations such as high-traffic, urban areas. A company’s ideal driver can vary depending upon the target demographic they want to reach.”
