Midland, Michigan, July 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Marcie Rousseau, the former school teacher in Freeland, Michigan has been charged with two counties on 29 counts of sexual misconduct with one of her 16 year old student. Earlier this week, the 33 year old former teacher was arraigned at the Saginaw County on 21 counts while a day later she was charged with eight counts of criminal sexual misconduct in the Midland county.

Angelina Scarpelli, who is the prosecutor in the case revealed that Marcie Rousseau is accused of having sex with an underage on multiple occasions from the month of May 2009 to February this year when the student was just 16 years of age. The former school teacher is said to have taken the boy across county lines in her car where she would sexually abuse him. It has also been reported that apart from the 16 year old student, there might be two other victims who were sexually abused way back in 2002, however, any information about them has not been forthcoming as yet. As the police authorities initiated an investigation against her, Marcie Rousseau was placed on administrative leave but she gave her resignation from her job in Freeland High School on June 16.

Meanwhile, the former school teacher has pleaded not guilty to all the charges that have been levied against her in the latest teacher molestation scandal that has come to the limelight. Marcie Rousseau’s case is another addition to the series of cases of teachers accused of having sex with students, that have grabbed widespread attention lately. Kristen Sullivan, a teacher in Broward County, Florida was detained in April for having sex with an underage student while Stephanie Ragusa was recently given ten years prison sentence in a similar case.
