Las Vegas, Nov 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ford has offered the Ford Fiesta R2 Rally Kit for United States auto users. The kit cost $30,000 and analysts believe it can transform the Fiesta into a rally car. The kit is stuffed with parts that promise to increase the Fiesta’s performance by at least 40 percent. The new kit was unveiled at the 2010 SEMA Show.

The company revealed that the kit is to offer rally lovers to turn their fiesta into rally cars at a minimal cost. The kit which includes five-speed Sadev sequential gearbox, Reiger adjustable dampers with Eibach springs, ventilated disc brakes with AP four-piston competition calipers and a T45 steel multipoint roll cage can be used on Fiesta models only.

Ford promises Fiesta users something more than just upgrading their car. Ford said in a statement that Fiesta users have “the ability to compete in the Fiesta Sport Trophy Championship in RallyCar’s Rally America National Championship 2WD class in 2011”.

That makes the kit interesting because if you can turn your Fiesta into a rally car at just $30,000, then that is the cheapest rally car you can get. Hope Ford makes the kit available for other models as well.
