Sanford, N.C., Nov.17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Shaniya Davis, the 5 year old girl who was reported to be missing from last Tuesday was found dead on Monday, November 16. Police has found the body of the girl from a wooded road of North Carolina, close to her house. The tragic end of Shaniya has left everyone stunned in silence. The authorities have reportedly declined to comment over the issue.

Theresa Chance, the spokeswoman for the Fayetteville Police Department said that detectives and all other people who were searching for the girl were upset to find her dead. They made lot of efforts to find the girl alive and were shocked after the dead body of the girl was discovered. Law enforcement officials are now expected to proceed with further investigation and trace the culprit behind the child’s death. They have already arrested Antoinette Davis [mother of Shaniya Davis] with the charges of human trafficking and child abuse. She has appeared on the court but did not make any plea.

Now, it is speculated that she might also face charges of murdering her daughter. Sources stated that the police officials of North Carolina consider that Shaniya Davis’s mother has some kind of involvement with disappearance of the child. They also suspect that the lady has tried to force her daughter to practice prostitution and sexual servitude. Though police suspects her for these charges, they have not found any clue that will prove her involvement in the disappearance and death of the child. Further investigation of the case is expected to provide more clues regarding the disappearance and death of Shaniya Davis.
