Five of the people killed were U.S. service members, CNN reported. The other soldier killed was Canadian, according to the Canadian Forces.
“I strongly condemn the suicide attack today in Kabul, which has led to the death of Afghan civilians and ISAF soldiers, and injuries to many more Afghans,” said Anders Fogh Rasmussen, NATO’s Secretary General.
“I express my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this suicide attack, and I wish a full recovery to the injured. NATO remains committed to its mission to protect the Afghan people and to strengthen Afghanistan’s ability to resist terrorism,” Rasmussen added.
