Five die in Palm Springs, CA mobile home fire
January 2nd, 2010 - 2:07 pm ICT by BNO NewsPALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA (BNO NEWS) — Five people died, including children, in an early morning mobile home fire in Palm Springs, California on New Year’s Day.
The blaze was first reported at 5.16 a.m. local time in a mobile home park near Palm Springs. “We have five fatalities,” said Frank Reilly, a spokesman for the Riverside County Fire Department.
Reilly said the deceased were two adults, a male and a female, and three children. The ages of the children were not immediately known.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
