goldieSep 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man has fished out from Lake France what can only be called the ‘big daddy’ of all goldfish. Weighing a whopping 30lb, the gigantic fish has been touted as the biggest orange koi carp ever caught. Raphael Biagini, the man who caught the fish took ten minutes to get the fish out of the water but animal rights activists need not worry as he quickly sent it back to the water. The photo of the fisherman holding the fish has become a rage on the web and some of the experts have even called the photos fake. Marine experts, however, have argued that there is a possibility that the fish is real as the biggest giant koi found weighed 90lb. Interestingly, Raphael Biagini caught the fish moments after hearing about it from fellow anglers.

Reports have revealed that the fisherman in the area have been trying to catch the elusive giant orange koi for 6 years. Raphael Biagini explained that when he had caught it, he could not tell what was at the end of the line, but understood that it was something big. The debate, however, rages on whether the photo is real or not. Some experts feel that the man is holding the fish as if it weights something around two pounds and some say that the size of the fish indicates that it could weigh well over 30 pounds.

In spite of the debate, the fish and the fisherman continue to enjoy the intense media coverage. One photo editing expert has explained that none of the aspects in the photo indicate that the image was modified or retouched.
