New York, Aug 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The very first test-tube baby of the United States is now a mother herself. And what is remarkable is that, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy in the ‘normal way’.

Elizabeth Comeau who is also known as Elizabeth Jordan Carr was born on the 28th of December 1981 and since her birth she has been in the spotlight, because she was the first test-tube baby in the US. However she hates the term – ‘test tube baby’ as the process of in-vitro fertilization through which she was conceived, involves a ‘Petri-dish’ and not a test tube at all.

Now she is 28 years old and is sick of the limelight that has followed her since childhood. So she also changed her name to dodge the media. However she came again in the public eye when she gave birth, as she wanted to prove to one and all that she is as ‘normal’ as them. She works for the Boston Globe and she wrote there that, “I had a normal conception and pregnancy despite my abnormal childhood. And early yesterday, my husband and I had a baby boy ‘the normal way,’ proving (I hope) that I’m just like everyone else.”
