First Lady Michelle Obama to make first solo official trip to Mexico
March 12th, 2010 - 10:35 pm ICT by BNO NewsWASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) — First Lady Michelle Obama will make her first solo official trip as First Lady next month, the White House announced on Friday.
Michelle Obama will visit Mexico City from April 13 to April 15. “Mrs. Obama’s international agenda will amplify the President’s commitment to advancing mutual interests, mutual respect and mutual responsibility between nations and peoples around the world,” the White House said in a statement.
It said Michelle Obama will have the opportunity to engage the citizens of Mexico, particularly young people, and build on her recent conversation with Mexican First Lady Margarita Zavala de Calderon on the issues of education and economic advancement in both countries.
