First Grandmother Of USA Settled In White House

firstWashington, Feb 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Marian Robinson, the mother-in-law of US President Barack Obama has spent the larger part of her life in Chicago and that explains why she was not really willing to move into the White House. She was asked to stay for a minimum of three months by the first family to see how it feels. That was almost a year back. According to the latest reports, Marian Robinson seems to have settled down with in the life in Washington. She has become accustomed to the new life and likes spending time with her two granddaughters. In fact, the president himself has described her as “quite the lady about town.”

The widowed mother-in-law of the US president has made new friends and they often get invited to the White House. She also goes out on her own to visit the Kennedy Center and loves shopping as well. Besides, she likes to fetch the grandchildren from school. The president said recently that his mother- in-law does not have any starry air about her. She loves to socialize and can make people feel comfortable with her demeanor.

Michelle Obama is also happy that her mother has finally settled down in the White House despite initial reservations about the place and ambiance. Marian Robinson went abroad the previous year with the first family of USA. She visited a number of places including Rome, Ghana and Italy. The graceful lady is aware about her privacy and despite her cordial ways gives priority to her own space. She never hesitates from taking part in White House ceremonies.
