Federal prisoner charged with attacking correctional officers

NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT (BNO NEWS) – A federal prisoner on Tuesday was charged with assaulting two correctional officers, prosecutors said.

Season H. Eagleman, 24, a federal prisoner at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Danbury, with the assault of two Bureau of Prisons correctional officers December 2, 2009. Eagleman appeared before a U.S. Judge in Hartford and pleaded not guilty to both counts in the indictment.

If convicted, Eagleman faces a maximum term of imprisonment of eight years and a fine of up to $250,000 on each count.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

    Correctional officers have such a thankless job. I hope the courts will help protect these officers by giving this criminal a hefty sentence.
