August 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): A 39-year-old woman in America named Amy Windom had to release an appeal for assistance frantically by typing her laptop with her toes. The rationale behind her being compelled to do this was that she had been fastened with the bed in her house by a robber. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has mentioned that the police personnel were made cognizant of the dire situation on Tuesday morning at 5.30 am subsequent to obtaining a phone call from the beau of Amy named John Hilton. The police officers have divulged that the armed thievery occurred a few hours earlier at about midnight in the American city of Atlanta in the state of Georgia.

Hilton uttered to the police officers that Amy’s residence had been raided by a pilferer. The Atlanta Police’s captain happens to be Van Hobbs. He mentioned that the policemen, on arriving at Amy’s residence, found her attached to the bed. She pronounced to the police that the prowler had sported a ski mask and was fortified. Hobbs has voiced that her laptop was with her on the bed. She was able to use her toes to type a message to her beau to make him aware that she had been a victim of larceny. Hobbs has revealed that Amy picked up the PC and unfastened it using ‘control-alt-delete’. Hobbs lauded Amy saying that doing all this with the feet would have been difficult.

Hilton has revealed that the message he obtained from Amy was ‘HELP. CALL 911’. Windom, on being released by the police, voiced that she utilized her big toe as a mouse. She took hold of the laptop’s power cord sandwiched between the toes on her other foot. Her big toe was too large to strike the individual keys.

Hobbs has divulged that the prowler transported Amy around her residence and ran through her assets before fastening her.
