April 6, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): It is time to say farewell to some of the junk food/ fast food outlets at some of the American military bases in Afghanistan. At the coalition’s military bases in Afghanistan, the fast food joints like Pizza Hut and Burger King are gearing up to evacuate themselves. In order to store up the important resources like food, electricity, water and precious space, which are utilized by these joints, the American military will not renovate their contracts.

Army Commander, Sgt. Maj. Michael Hall, has written down on his blog that providing unnecessary comforts to immense bases like Bagram and Kandahar makes it more burdensome to transport indispensable items to combat outposts and forward operating bases. It is there that an enormous number of soldiers are fighting each day and they need to be supplied ammunition, food and water.

The military requires all the space available as over 30,000 American and 7000 global troops will soon enter upon Afghan territory. Hall also cautioned that there will be lesser canned and bottled commodities arriving into the country as well as fewer first-run movie showings.

Some soldiers, who were clandestinely protesting about the cut down, will have an alternative of Fish fingers. Burgers, in any case, are obtainable for soldiers at their dining hall.
