bildeNov 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is a saying that if a dog bites a lion then its no news, but if a man bites a dog, then its a news. However, what if a dog bites a lion? Especially if the dog in just 17 pounds and the lion is more than 150 pounds? That is exactly what happened in South Dakota, when the little Jack Russell terrier chased a lion who got inside the farm of his master. He not only drove the big lion out of the farm but also helped his master to shoot the animal.

Tuesday was a big day for this celebrated dog, when the big mountain cat entered his farm. He started barking at the lion, as the beast was staring down upon him from a tree. His two masters, Chad Strenge and his father Virtus Strenge came out to see what was happening, as soon went inside to take the 12-gauge shotgun, in order to drive him out of their farm and if necessary shoot him too. However, it was the dog who displayed the maximum valor. His masters said that the favorite pass time of their dog is to drive squirrels and cats out of their farm. May be it mistook the lion for a cat and went ahead to chase him out of the farm. He was constantly barking and biting the lion from a side, so that it could not escape. At one point the lion went out of sight, but Jack Russell was desperate to prove his worth as a good guard and found him hiding in a culvert under the highway.

After a little more chasing, with the lion running for his life, Chad Strenge finally shot him dead. Fortunately the little dog survived. Chad Strenge is under the impression that may be the lion was no too hungry and therefore did not attack him back. One must say Jack Russell was really lucky that day.
