Sep 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The fall is just a day away and it is no secret that people are awaiting the beginning of the beautiful and glorious season of Autumn with ardent fervor. The falls brings with it spectacular and glorious colors and paints the landscape all over with such amazing beauty, that it never ceases to take one’s breath away, even after returning in a cyclic pattern every year.
The fall is officially launched with the setting in of the autumnal equinox. This specific day marks end of summer and ushers in the warm beauty of autumn. The day is also of importance as it is the date on which the hours of daylight are almost exactly equal to the that of night. This year, that day is going to be marked on September 22, the day when summer officially sets off and the phase is set on for winter to follow in eventually.
The first day of the temperate autumn is also celebrated as Mabon, the other names for which are Harvest Home or the Second Harvest Festival. This day marks the day of thanks giving among the Pagans, when they celebrate the bountiful harvest for the year that has been blessed by the goddess.
Generally marked by moderate weathers, this year the situation is not going to be so favorable. For, according to the weather forecasting departments, it has been revealed that respite from the scorching is not going to come so easy this year. Warm and hot weather are still on the heels to follow, especially along the Bay Area, offering the residents little relief.
