Facial Profiler: A Unique Application Launched By Coca Cola

Dec.27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Almost every person sometime thinks about a lookalike existing somewhere in the earth. Now there is an opportunity online to see if there is a lookalike staying at some corner of this planet. A new application for Facebook named Facial Profiler has arrived that allows the Facebook users find other users who look like them. However, a person needs to upload his photo first so that the software can locate his lookalike easily. It is a brainchild of coca cola and the company wants to drive home the message that Coke Zero is similar to real Coke. It is indeed a clever advertising campaign.
The Coke Zero Facial Profiler software relies on advanced facial profiling technology to find the lookalike of Facebook users. It is making use of a giant database compiled by Coke Zero that has more than 200000 faces. To take part, a user needs to allow the application access his Facebook account by means of Facebook Connect. It then searches for the images he or she has uploaded. If there is no photo, the application asks him to upload a picture. Once the app finds a match, it fetches information about him and presents to the user.
The profiler application also enables the users to rate the best possible matches according to their choices. Coke aims to grab a share of the young consumers through this application. It is likely to catch up with the urban youth. The popularity of social networking is a potent means to reach to the youngsters and Coke is using that cleverly.
