Explosion heard in Kandahar: report
August 27th, 2009 - 2:17 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )KANDAHAR (BNO NEWS) — A loud explosion was heard in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar on Wednesday evening, according to Al Jazeera.
A spokeswoman for the NATO-led ISAF alliance told BNO News that they had not yet received any reports of any explosions in the area, but said it would check for more information.
On Tuesday, a large car bomb killed at least 43 people and injured 65 more in the city.
