June 3, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Ted Haggard is the previous President of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). He had stood down from his post four years back after it was discovered that he was in a sexual alliance with a male prostitute.

Haggard, the former Megachurch pastor, has now enunciated that he and his family are commencing a new church that will be referred to as St. James Church, the objective of which will be to lend a hand to the individuals experiencing a distressing phase in their lives.

Haggard has announced that he will be delighted even if a few persons join his new church. He mentioned that he will be organizing a launch party for the church at his residence on Sunday morning.

In 2006, Haggard was the creator of the New Life Church and the President of the NAE. However, he became embroiled in an unpleasant controversy then.

An inspection by KUSA-TV unearthed a secret relationship between Haggard and a male prostitute, Mike Jones. Subsequently, Haggard elucidated that he had perpetrated sexual decadence and that he had purchased methamphetamine from Jones. Haggard mentioned that he then relinquished his functions at the New Life Church.

At the launch party on Sunday, Haggard has stated that the guests can go for a dip, intermingle and have a wonderful time. The following weekend, there will be a planning conference at Haggard’s home to ascertain the number of members his new church will have. Then, Haggard has stated that the new church will scout locations.

Haggard has declared that people will all kinds of sexual and political orientations are welcome to be present at his party the coming Sunday- homosexuals, lesbians, heterosexuals, bisexuals, Democrats, Republicans, conservatives, liberals.
