Salt Lake City, UT, Oct 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nearly seven years after she had been abducted at knife point and kept a hostage, Elizabeth Smart faced her tormentor once more on Thursday. However, this time, it was in an encounter that was set in the court, where Smart had turned up to give her detailed testimony against her alleged abductor.

It was in the year 2002, that a then 14 year old Smart was abducted by Brian David Mitchell from her Salt Lake City bedroom and whisked away at knife point. In her Thursday’s testimony she stated that within hours after she had been kidnapped, Mitchell involved her in a ceremony that supposedly made her his “polygamous” wife. She said, “After that he proceeded to rape me.”

Now 21, Smart relieved her days in captivity once more when she presented her detailed narrative of what had exactly transpired in the days that she had been held a prisoner by Brian David Mitchell. This is the first time that she has appeared at the stand, ever since her kidnapping in 2002. In her detailed testimony, Smart stated that Mitchell had raped her almost three to four times repeatedly everyday. He would also keep her tied up by putting a cable around her leg and had threatened to kill her in case she attempted to flee.

When she was asked to describe Mitchell by a prosecutor, Smart had reportedly used the words like “Evil, wicked, manipulative, stinky, slimy, greedy, selfish, not spiritual, not religious, not close to God.” All through the testimony, she had appeared calm and composed, not like earlier times, when she had looked like lacking in confidence.
