Arkansas, Dec 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) She was due in March, but she arrived almost 3 months premature into this world, but thankfully she is doing well. Michelle Duggar’s daughter Josie Brooklyn who is the Duggar Baby no. 19 is doing well, despite being born quite prematurely at just 25 weeks. Josie is still hospitalized at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
Josie was born on 10th December. She was just one pound, six ounces at her birth. Her mother Michelle Duggar is fine now, and has been discharged from the hospital. However she and her large brood are still hanging around at the hospital, because Josie is still admitted there. Michelle said that Josie is better and her health is on the expected lines.
The Duggar family thanked everyone for the love, support and wishes that they showered on the petite Josie Brooklyn. Her father Jim Bob says that the waiting is very hard, as the first 30 days of a premature infant are the most delicate, but that they trust God in the process. “God’s will is what we would choose if we knew all the facts. Our children’s spiritual maturity is going to deepen so much through this, in a way that couldn’t happen any other way,” says the grateful dad.
Earlier the family of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were celebrating their very first grandchild who was named as Mackynzie Renee Duggar and she weighed 8 pounds and 19 1/2 inches.
The reality TV family, the Duggars, welcomed their first grand-child on in October. Josh Duggar, the eldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 18 children and his wife Anna welcomed a baby girl.

You are my Daughters favorite family, and amazingly her husband loves you all too. She is expecting her 3rd child in march, and homeschools and has bought your book. I wish you two could get together and talk, but i have a question and this is not intended to insult or anything but are you afraid to “not” get pregnant? I asked my Daughter to stop, her health isn’t to well and your influence is strong so think about that for a minute if you do see this. Anyway, God Bless You and All your babies and your husband, he is a good man.

The photo is NOT of baby Josie and mother Michelle. The shown picture is of Michelle’s daughter-in-law Anna(their oldest sons wife), and that is Annas baby Mackynzie. This picture is on Josh and Annas blog. What idiot journalist didnt do their job right?
And to the first poster…..the parents of baby Josie have been married for 21 years

This is absolutely sick. Someone needs to tie those cut those tubes, or cut it off the guy. Only reason they keep having kids ios so they can make money off of the. CPS needs to get involved.

I think you need to watch the show, if all parents had the love and care that the two of them have this world would be a better place. I would give everything to have a husband that care so much about his wife and family. Try finding a family as close and loving as theirs.

You guys are crazy. If they feel it is the will of God to have kids, then let them have as many as they want.

I cannot believe how rude and cruel some people can be. Some of us may not agree with their lifestyle, but it is just that - “their” lifestyle. No one has the right to judge them for how they live their life. For anyone who knows a little about the Duggars, they would know that Michelle was on birth control in the past, and got pregnant (while on it) and unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. This was the catalyst to the whole “leaving it up to God on how many children” they have. My thoughts and prayers are with baby Josie and all the Duggars. (With God, all things are possible. Matthew 19:26)

Now they are producing Special Ed children. As a Spec. Ed teacher, this is a long road ahead. Once she has pre-eclampsia, she’ll have it again.
This is totally irresponsible !
Federal funds take care of Special Needs children.
God would “give” everyone 19 babies if they tried.

These folks are raising respectful, loving children who are absolutely NO LIABILITY to you or any part of American Society. (Do you have any idea how much of your ‘tax contributions’ go toward the support of children of unwed mothers?)
In fact, the Duggars are a perfect example of the founding tenets of American society.
They are contributing members of their community - are you?
Not one of us is in a position to judge .. (Perhaps we’re a little envious that they elicit so much love and independence!)

I love the duggars but maybe this here baby Josie maybe this is a warning sign that it might in fact happen again God forbid it does. Love you Duggars

As a mom of a child born at 34 week & an aunt of a child born at29 I pray all goes well for them and Josie will be healthy as she can be.
Yet, I do hope they take this as a sign to stop having children, because if she continues to have kids the likely hood of prematurity will be higher as well as any complications or health issues that come along with that. They are blessed that after 19 kids this is the first child they have had this premature…

I am disgusted with most of the comments on this page. It is no ones business how many children that Michelle and Jim Bob have. They are not dependant on any gov’t aid nor are they on welfare. They have been able to provide for their family because they have been faithful to God with what they do have. I wish that some people out there with one or two children had 1/18 the responsibility that the Duggars have with their family. If you have a problem with them then maybe you should go to God with it in prayer and leave the Duggars alone. You do not need to attack just because you feel bad about your own life situation.

some of you people need to know what you are wrighting about for one thing if you dont like how they are doing things you dont have to read articles about them 2nd of all they make a lot of money and dont have any problems taking care of there kids and i think that they are the best parents in the world so just be nice.

My prayers are with the Duggars. The individual that stated that special ed children and their family have a long road ahead must not have a very strong faith in God or have a handicapped child themselves, because as a parent of 4 children including a severely handicapped child that is terminal (our second oldest), that road doesn’t seem so long. It’s how you look at having a handicapped child that determines how hard the road is. Every day is a blessing. He does not attend public school and we have private insurance. FYI just because you have preclampsia once doesn’t mean you’ll have it again. I had preclampsia with my first pregnancy ONLY.
January 29th, 2010 at 12:38 am
To the nurse that claims you will automatically get pre-ecclampsia again if you had it once, WRONG! I had it with my first child and never had it again - and I had two more children. You may be at higher risk, but it doesn’t mean you’ll get it every time. Must be why you’re a nurse and not a doctor.

Sorry - re-read the earlier comment. It was a special ed. teacher - someone who has absolutely no medical background…..
Stick to teaching your students and leave the medical diagnosis to the professionals.

I think that this is a sign from god that there are no more children to give to Michelle and Jim Bob. I think there are no more souls ment for them. I think they should follow the warning and not have any more children. It will not be good for Michelle’s health and the next pregnancy could result in death of Michelle and/or the next baby. I think it would be a risk and selfish for them to try for another one. Instead of trying to have more they should be thankful for the nineteen that they do have and concentrate on their family now. Not very many people in this world would be lucky enough to have that many children that are all healthy and without complications. They should be thankful for their blessings and not mess with what could or could not be god’s will. I don’t think god would want Michelle to have any more children if it meant she could die. That is like commiting suicide on purpose. She is in her 40’s and could have major health risks because of her age. Why risk it? I think she is not thinking of her children or her family if she tries to have more. She is very lucky that things did not go worse than they did. God does not want people to die over having babies. God wants people to be mothers to their children and not take pointless risks that could kill them. Where on earth is that written?
“Have as many children as you can until it kills you?”

you do realize you all are commenting on something called “Thandian News”…? This is not exactly USA Today or The Duggars personal website. It is highly unlikely they are reading your comments
