Rockville, March 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A golden retriever could hardly imagine that the sparkling stone that he swallowed could cause such a panic to it’s master. According to reports a dog named Soli swallowed a more than three carat diamond that was worth $20,000, while it was being shown by a dealer to the jewelry shop owner.

The incident took place in a jewelry store at Rockville, MD. The Robert Bernard jewelry store that keeps precious stone and metal is co-owned by Robert Rosin and George Kaufmann. According to reports, a diamond dealer was showing the stone to the owner of the store, Robert Rosin when George Kaufmann entered the shop with his golden retriever. George Kaufmann has many times before brought the dog to the shop. The accident occurred when the diamond slipped on to the floor of the store while the owners were examining the diamond. It could hardly hit the ground when Soli sneaked in and swallowed it down. The owners did not even get the time to react to the situation and stop the dog from swallowing the precious stone.

According to Robert Rosin, attempts were made to get the diamond out of the dog’s mouth but Soli had already swallowed the diamond and their attempts thus yielded no result. The owners then took the dog to a veterinarian who suggested the owners should wait for sometime and follow the nature’s course. George Kaufmann then had to keep a good watch at his dog’s waste. The owner was relieved to find the stone on the third day and returned it to the dealer.
