dogJuly 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Little had the banker couple Laura Garner and Robert Hardon known that they would find their five-year-old French Bulldog Percy dead when they left him under the care of a dog sitting agency in Queens called “Doggie Love” for a night back in July 2009. However, the couple is now suing the dog sitting agency for $1 million mentioning in their lawsuit that Percy got over heated at the back of the “Doggie Love” van and was then left to die alone at their apartment by the agency.

In the lawsuit the couple has mentioned that the French bulldog named Percy had already trouble breathing and regulating body temperature due to its flat-faced structure. In that fatal night the Agency drove the dog to the couple’s Upper West Side apartment in an enclosed van that resulted in the increase in the body temperature of the dog. The couple had alleged in their lawsuit that Percy was then left at the apartment even when he was in distress. It also mentions that the concerned onlookers have offered to give the ailing and exhausted dog some water or medical attention which the employees have denied. The couple later found the dog dead in front of an air conditioner in the house reportedly.

The couple have mentioned that they are suing the dog sitting agency as the emptiness that has been left by Percy’s death and the anguish the couple has suffered “has not and will never be filled or go away”. On the part of “Doggie Love” owner Nilo Mathais, the owner has reportedly said that “sometimes. Dogs just die”.
