Romford, Oct 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) One year old Shar Pei – Molly can now finally see after a facelift was performed on her. According to reports Molly was suffering from entropion, which is a severe condition in which parts of the eyelid start turning inward, thus gradually blocking the sight of the animal.

However in Molly’s case, the condition was very severe and her eye was being brushed against her very own hair-covered outer skin. She had lost her sight and was unable to see, until an veterinarian stepped in and performed a facelift on her.

According to Daily Mail, Dr Richard Marks, who belongs to the Goddard Veterinary Group in Gidea Park said that, “What I essentially did was give her an extreme facelift. I removed a large piece of skin and stitched the remaining skin to the back of her head. It may sound extreme but if left much longer she would have been totally blinded.”

He also added that he has seen numerous cases of entropion during the course of his career, but by far this was the worst case that he had seen. He also divulged that Molly was suffering from this disease because her parents had been carriers of the disease too.
