fire5Allantown, July 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A chocolate Labrador had to take matters in his own stride in order to take himself out of a locked car in Allantown in Pennsylvania. Max the dog was shut up inside the car of his owner after she forgot to take him out after returning from a shopping trip. According to reports, Max sounded the horn a number of times before his owner pulled him out of the locked vehicle.

Reports from Allentown say that Donna Gardner, the owner of 11 year old Max, took her pet out for a ride along with her while she went out to complete some errands. When she returned home, she forgot all about Max and went inside. The dog was naturally puzzled and honked a number of times to attract the attention of his master. Even though she heard the sound of her car’s horn, Donna Gardner failed to understand that there was somebody inside the car because she could not see anybody when she came out to check. The honking continued and on a closer look, she realized that it was the doing of Max who was completely hidden behind the car’s steering wheel.

Max remained closed inside the car for more than an hour, but fortunately nothing very serious has been reported about his health. Speaking to the local TV channel, Donna Gardner said that she immediately called for veterinary help on seeing her pet panting breathlessly. The vet has confirmed that water and cool towels were all that Max will need to get well soon.
