Dispatcher saves his own son from choking

diva Washington, Feb 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chris Scott is a 911 dispatcher, who answered an emergency 911 call, and saved his own son from choking. On 4th February 2010, Janna Scott noticed that her 6 months old son was choking, and had also stopped breathing. She called up 911, and to her immense surprise her own husband answered the phone. They both recognized each other’s voices, but instead of chatting, they went straight to the point, and gave emergency medical aid to their son.

Their 6 months old son Jacob had stopped breathing, and had even lost consciousness. His mother Janna was ‘freaking out’, but Chris retained his cool demeanor, and described to his wife the necessary procedure to clear the airway of their son. His advice helped save their son’s life. Later Tammy Clark who is Scott’s supervisor said that he had handled the call very well. Then Scott broke the news to her that it was his own son. He later also said that he always dreaded such a situation, but now he is relived that he handled the situation very well.
