Disney Bus In Fatal Accident, Boy Killed

bus Los Angeles, Apr 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 10-year-old boy of St. Petersburg died when his bike slammed against a Walt Disney bus in Florida on Thursday. Police say that the boy was with an 11-year-old girl who was also riding her bike but escaped unhurt. The incident took place near the Fort Wilderness resort in Florida. The boy has been identified as Chase Brubaker. The accident occurred at around 1:45 pm when the boy, who was riding a bike, crossed the road and slammed against the side of the bus.

The Walt Disney bus was running in the southward direction, and the boy was riding in the same direction at the sidewalks, when all of a sudden his bike struck against the middle of the bus. Chase Brubaker was pulled from under the Disney bus which caused fatal injuries to the upper part of his body. Police have said that all 28 passengers in the bus are safe. Meg Crofton, the President of Walt Disney World has expressed his sympathies and condolences to the family of Chase Brubaker. No criminal charges have been levied against the driver of the bus, although Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the case.

The boy’s parents, Dick Brubaker and Kelly Brubaker, are shocked at the incident. They still recall the time when Chase Brubaker claimed his holiday at the resort his best holiday ever. Moments later he was killed by the bus when he was out riding with a friend in spite of wearing a helmet. Chase Brubaker being their only child the Brubakers’ life will be empty without him.

Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger said that Walt Disney will do their best to help the boy’s family but provided no additional information regarding this matter or the accident.
