Madison, Feb 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Students of the Discovery Middle School were in panic on Friday afternoon, after a student of ninth grade shot his fellow student in the school hall. As per the reports, a 14 year old boy named Todd Brown, who studied in the ninth grade of the school was shot in the hall when he was talking to some of his friends. It has been reported that the student, who was found in a critically injured condition had died in the hospital.

Janelle Lawrence, another ninth grader, who rushed to the place after noticing some kind of problem in the hall discovered Todd Brown in an unconscious state and called for help. It has been reported that the student, who was critically injured in this attack was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. However, the officials have not yet confirmed the condition of the student. The school authorities, who were shocked about the incident did not reveal the motive behind the attack. They also did not reveal the name of the accused, who is reportedly in police custody.

The shooting in the school compound has grieved the students and they are really worried about the security measures about by the school officials. Janelle Lawrence, who was the first person to find the injured student was extremely disturbed by the incident and worried about her safety. She added that it would be difficult for her to resume normal school schedule from Monday. Her reports also indicate that Todd Brown was a fun loving student and so the reason for this violent attack is still unknown.
