Mike Tyson, the Boxer-Actor and winner of many heavy weight titles has had a troubled life. From his troubled marriage to Actress Robin Givens, to the prison tour of three years for the rape of Desiree Washington in 1992, Mike Tyson has gone through major ups and downs all through his life.

Mike’s illustrious career in the rings was disrupted momentarily when he was convicted of raping the Rhone Island beauty queen, Desiree Washington. Three years later he did return to the ring though. He called her a “Swine of a Woman”.

Though many thought there were lots of loopholes in Desiree Washington’s story, it put Tyson away for 3 years. Tyson’s attorneys alleged that Ms. Washington had previously falsely accused another young man of rape charges too. The man, who used to attend school with Desiree filed in his affidavit that Desiree’s dad had called up his house making accusations. Next day however when he had cornered Desiree in school, she told him that she had to lie to her father in order to cover herself.

The appeals court did consider Tyson’s appeal requests for not having a fair trial in light of those new evidences. The troubled boxer acquired new found fame when the documentary based on his life, “Tyson” directed by James Toback received critical acclamation. The documentary gives an honest insight into the boxer’s life in various phases. He would be featured in a soon to be released comedy “Hangover” as himself.

The Tyson family has been hit by tragedy again with the boxer’s 4 year old daughter Exodus meeting an accidental death. She was admitted in St. Joseph’s hospital in Phoenix after an accident involving the treadmill.
